The oil price and the U.S dollar have a direct link. This could be found by analyzing the previous year rates. In 1998, the price of the crude oil was 12 dollars per barrel but after six years, the rate increased to 56 dollars per barrel. It was an amazing rise in the price of the oil and due to this the country faced a severe problem such as unemployment, inflation and economic crisis. The main reason why this affects the U.S is that, the country consumed about one fourth of the oil based energy with only 5% of total population in the world. Because of this each and every fields such as transport involves the fossil fuels were affected a lot leading to the rise of major problem.
